Question : Allocation of funds under JJM

Will the Minister of JAL SHAKTI be pleased to state:

(a) the details of the total funds allocated, released and utilised by Maharashtra under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) since inception of the scheme, year and district-wise including Satara;
(b) the details of the central funds under JJM allocated and released for Satara district of Maharashtra; and
(c) the number of additional households provided with potable tap water during the last two years in
Satara district?

(a) to (b) The year-wise details of funds allocated, released and utilized by Maharashtra under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) for 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 are as under:

Under JJM, the funds are allocated and released only State/UT-wise. District-wise details of fund allocated and released are not maintained at Government of India level.

(c) At the time of announcement of Jal Jeevan Mission, 2.87 lakh (47.05%) households were reported to have tap water connections in Satara district of Maharashtra. Since then, tap water connections have been provided to additional 1.86 lakh (30.52%) rural households. As on 25.07.2022, out of 6.11 lakh rural households in Satara, provision of tap water supply has been made to 4.74 lakh (77.57%) households.
