MINISTER OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT (SHRI S. JAIPAL REDDY)
(a) & (b): BMRC has reported that it has prepared the
compensation package for the displaced/ the land losers.
The compensation package consists of the following:
1. Fair Market Value of the land:- As recommended by Sri.
P.S.S. Thomas Committee plus 30% Solatium Plus an amount
u/s 23(1A) of Land Acquisition Act, 1894 from the date of
issue of preliminary notification to the date of
possession or award, whichever is earlier.
2. Replacement Value of the Building would be given.
Additionally, solatium and amount under section 23(1A) of
the Land Acquisition Act 1894 would be given.
3. Rehabilitation package for the project affected persons- This consists of:-
# Shifting Allowance
# Inconvenience Allowance
# Right to Salvage Materials
# Transitional Allowance
# Rental Income Loss Compensation
# Business premises re-establishment allowance
(c) & (d): As reported by BMRC, disbursement of compensation has
already commenced and a cheque for Rs.2,38,82,075.00 (after
deducting Rs.30,51,585.00 towards income tax) has been handed
over to Sri S. Venkatesh, Resident of 100 feet Road,
Indiranagar during November, 2007 for acquiring his property
measuring 2009 sq.ft. situated at 100 feet Road, Indiranagar.
Payment of compensation for all the remaining
land/property losers is expected to be completed by April, 2008.
