Question : Expenditure on Setting up of Solar Energy Plants

(a) the expenditure incurred/likely to be incurred on setting up of the solar energy plants approved by the Union Government in various States including Dehradun, Uttarakhand, State-wise;
(b) whether the indigenous technology is being used for the setting up of these plants; and
(c) if so, the details thereof?

(a): Upto 31.10.2016, an expenditure of Rs. 8281 crore approx.. has been incurred on various projects under National Solar Mission (NSM). In 2016-17, a total amount of Rs. 1628 crore has been released for solar projects under NSM for various States including Uttarakhand. State-wise details of funds released through Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) in few schemes and under off-grid scheme are given at Annexure.
(b) & (c): Yes, Madam. As on date, around 756.5 MW of solar projects have been commissioned under Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) Category (Cells and modules) and 1944 MW of projects are at tender stages under DCR category.
