(a): The number of TB cases notified in Rajasthan and Bihar during the last three years is as below:

(b): As compared to 2019, the treatment success rate of Bihar has improved by 2% and that of Rajasthan 3%.
(c): The Government of India has developed a National Strategic Plan (2017-25) for Ending TB in the country by 2025.The key focus areas are:
• Early diagnosis of all the TB patients, prompt treatment with quality assured drugs and treatment regimens along with suitable patient support systems to promote adherence.
• Engaging with the patients seeking care in the private sector.
• Prevention strategies including active case finding and contact tracing in high risk / vulnerable population
• Airborne infection control.
• Multi-sectoral response for addressing social determinants.
(d): Under NTEP, all over the country, including in Rajasthan and Bihar TB patients are provided free drugs, diagnosis and treatment facilities.
Additionally, TB patients are provided Rs. 500/- per month for the duration of their treatment for nutrition support under Nikshay Poshan Yojana. Details of number of beneficiary in the two States are annexed.
