(a) whether the number of Public Call Offices (PCOs) has decreased in the country
during the last few years;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State-wise;
(c) whether the number of PCOs of the private sector telecom companies is more in
comparison to the PCOs of public sector companies like BSNL and MTNL;
(d) if so, the details thereof alongwith the reasons therefor; and
(e) the steps taken to improve the situation?
