(a) The Comprehensive Convention on Terrorism; the Convention on the Prohibition of the use of Nuclear Weapons; the Role of Science & Technology in the context of international security and disarmament; and reducing nuclear danger are some of the initiatives taken by India through resolutions at the United Nations General Assembly. India operates through either the Group of 77 or the Non-aligned Movement on almost all economic and social issues and a large number of political issues, and therefore is not generally identified with particular initiatives.
(b) 151 countries supported India`s initiative to continue work on the Comprehensive Convention on Terrorism and the record of support for the other initiatives is also impressive.
