Question : PENDING WORKS IN HP



(a) whether the Government is aware that the four proposals relating to the completion of the work of the Ramshila-Bijli Mahadev Road in Kullu District, double laning of Thiyog-Khotkhai- Hathkoti road, construction of Manali by-pass and Chakki bridge amounting to Rs.3.04, 4.03 crore and 448.35 lakhs given on 24.6.03, 4.6.02, 23.7.03 and 28.7.03 respectively by the Himachal Pradesh Government are lying pending with the Government;

(b) if so, the action taken thereon and the reasons for keeping them pending so far; and

(c) the time by which a final decision would be taken on these proposals?

(a) to(c) Yes, Sir. The proposal for completing remaining work of Ramshila-Bijli Mahadev road in Kullu District received vide letter dated 4th June, 2002 cannot be sanctioned under Central Road Fund since this road is a rural road and , therefore, has since been returned to PWD. The proposal for double laning of Thiyog-Khotkhai- Hathkoti road has already been sanctioned on 5.1.2004 for an amount of Rs.4.03 crores. The proposal for construction of Manali bye pass has been returned to the State PWD since this work has not been included in this Ministry’s current Annual Plan.

A modified proposal for construction of Chakki bridge on NH-20 has recently been received in this Ministry vide State PWD’s letter dated 22.7.2005 and has been included in the current year’s Annual Plan.
