Government has taken a decision to demolish 243 flats (61 Type II and 182 Type III) at BKS Marg Phase-II, which are old, in poor condition and require a lot of maintenance, on proposal from Lok Sabha House Committee to redevelop the colony to construct new flats for Members of Parliament. Out of these 243 accommodations, 211 are in General Pool and 32 in Departmental Pool.

(b) Yes, the allottees of General Pool are given preferences/ choices for allotment on Automated System of Allotment (ASA) as per rules.

(c) As per rules, the Departmental Pool employees are not eligible for choices on ASA. Alternate accommodations are placed at the disposal of the concerned Departments for allotment to their concerned allottees.
