Question : Development of MSME Clusters

(a) whether there is a scheme for developing industrial corridor or cluster only for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and if so, the details thereof; and

(b) the policies and schemes available for the entrepreneurs so that they can develop clusters in PPP model?

(a): Yes, Sir. Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) implements the Micro and Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP) for enhancing the productivity and competitiveness of Micro and Small Enterprises by extending financial assistance for establishment of Common Facility Centres (CFCs); establishment / upgradation of Industrial Estates (Infrastructure Development (ID) projects)/ development of Flatted Factory Complexes; Marketing Hubs / Exhibition Centres by Associations; Thematic Interventions and Support to State Innovative Cluster Development Programme.

(b): Under MSE-CDP scheme, the component of setting up of Common Facility Centre (CFC) involves non-recurring grant-in-aid from Government of India, contribution from concerned State Government and minimum 10% of admissible project cost as private contribution from Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), formed by Micro & Small Enterprises of the cluster.
