Question : DEENDAYAL VIKLANG PUNARWAS YOJANA

(a) the amount of funds allocated under the Deendayal Viklang Purnarwas Yojana across the country including Bihar during each of the last three years, State-wise;

(b) the amount of funds, for which proposal from Bihar has been received and the amount of fund allocated against the same; and

(c) the number of Non-Governmental Organisations of the State to which funds have been sanctioned by the Government under the said Yojana and the detailed break-up of the fund sanctioned for each of these organization?

(a) to (c): Under the Deendayal Vikalang Punarwas Yojana, funds are not allocated to the States. Funds are provided to the Non-Governmental Orgaizations (NGOs) working for the welfare of persons with disabilities.

Under the Scheme, Proposals for Rs. 409.05 lakhs approximately were received from State Government of Bihar during the year 2009-10. An amount of Rs.45.48 lakhs was sanctioned to 7 NGOs in Bihar during the year 2009 -10. A Statement indicating details of funds released to the NGOs in Bihar is at Annexure.
