(a) & (b): No, Sir. The services of only 2017 employees
of all categories including SC, ST & OBC were terminated due
to proved misconduct of long absenteeism in these three
companies as detailed below:-

(c): No. Sir. The certified Standing Orders applicable for the
workmen, inter-alia, has provisions for the terminated
employees to make appeal to the Appellate Authority. Such
appeals, as and when received, are considered on merit by
the Appellate Authority. Reinstatement is made only on the
basis of the decision of the Appellate Authority on the
merit of the individual case. The prescribed procedure for
reinstatement of workers is being followed by Coal India
Limited and its Subsidiary Companies.
