(a) the demand and supply of fodder in the country during each of
the last three years and the current year, State-wise;
(b) whether a large proportion of fodder is damaged every year due
to the use of harvesting machines in the fields;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the steps taken/being taken by the Government to restrict the
damage to fodder to the minimum, particularly during the use of
harvesting machines?

a) Assessment of production of cattle feed and fodder is not done every year.
However, as per the study conduced by NABARD Consultancy Services (NABCONS),
the estimated shortfall between demand and availability of green fodder,
dry fodder and concentrates in the year 2007 is as under:
