(a) whether Ahmednagar-Beed Railway Line Project is approved;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the details of fund spent and further budget allocation for this project in this year; and
(d) the time by which the project is likely to be completed ?

(a) & (b): Yes, Sir. The new line from Ahmednagar-Beed to Parli Vaijnath (250 kms) was included in the Budget 1995-96. The anticipated cost of the project as per Budget is Rs.353.08 crore.
(c): Rs.20 crore has been provided for the project in the Budget, 2004-05. An expenditure of about Rs.0.56 crore (provisional) has been incurred on the project upto 30.06.04.
(d): No target date has yet been fixed.
