(a) the progress made in the construction and upgradation of facilities at the Rajasansi International Airport, Amritsar during the last one year and thereafter; and

(a) & (b) :- During the last one year, at Amritsar International Airport the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has completed 38% of work of strengthening and extension of runway, 20% of widening of approach road and car park, 4% of construction of new fire station. The work of construction of compound wall around the acquired land has been completed in February, 2002. The work of construction of cargo complex has been awarded in June, 2002 and mobilization for execution is in progress. The applications received from tenderers for the construction of new terminal building have been taken up. AAI has spent till June 2002, an amount of Rs.10.42 crores.
