Question : Recruitment in CIPET

Will the Minister of CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS be pleased to state:
(a) the total number of regular Group ‘A’ posts created and recruitments done in the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) set up in the last 15 years, institute-wise;
(b) the details of recruitments done till date for Group ‘A’ posts out of the total regular recruitments done in New CIPET, category-wise (UR/OBC/SC/ST);
(c) whether some employees are working on contract basis against Group ‘A’ posts and if so, the details thereof, institute-wise;
(d) the details of employees working on contract basis against Group ‘A’ posts belonging to UR/OBC/SC/ST categories, institute-wise; and
(e) the details of duration (month and year) of employees working on contract basis with or without break, institution-wise along with the percentage of employees on contract basis as compared to their total sanctioned posts, Speciality/Department and category-wise?

(a) to (e): A statement is laid on the Table of the House.
Statement referred to in Parts (a) to (e) of Lok Sabha Starred Question No. 327 for answer on 16.07.2019 regarding Recruitment in CIPET
(a)&(b) 120 Group ‘A’ posts were created in various CIPET Centres set up during the last 15 years, against which 74 posts are currently filled up. The Centre-wise details are at Annexure-I. Out of these, 16 persons belong to Schedule Caste category, 5 persons belong to Schedule Tribe category, 19 persons belong to OBC category and the rest belong to UR (Gen) category.
(c)&(d) No, Sir. However, 30 persons have been engaged by CIPET directly on contract in these Centres on consolidated salary for fixed tenure for academic & technology support services. The details at Annexure-II. In addition, CIPET engages manpower through agencies for delivery of various services like Machine Operator / Data Entry Operator, Helpers, Housekeeping, Catering, Security etc.
(e) The details of duration of contract etc, Centre-wise are at Annexure-III.
