Question : MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR PROTECTION OF TIGERS



(a) whether the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) has asked the States to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to take adequate steps for the protection of tigers;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the details of funds allocated to each of the States in this regard?

(a) & (b) Yes Sir.The Memorandum of Understanding has 3 Articles which, interalia, cover compliance of normative guidelines of the National Tiger Conservation Authority for tiger conservation, details of items of work funded and related conditions.

(c) The details of the funds allocated to each State, are at Annexure-I.
