(a) & (b) Probably, the Hon’ble Member is referring to a completed
medium irrigation project constructed in the year 1930 on Maniyari
river, a tributary to Shivnath river in Mahanadi basin near
village Khudia in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh. As reported
by the Government of Chhattisgarh the project is providing
irrigation to the designated potential during kharif and there is
no proposal to convert this project into major dam.
