(a) The Reserve Bank of India vide its circular FIDD.CO.FSD. BC.12/05.05.010/2018-19 dated February 04, 2019 has extended the KCC facility to Animal Husbandry farmers and Fisheries for their working capital requirements along with the benefit of Interest Subvention wherein livestock farmers either individual or joint borrower, Joint Liability Groups or Self Help Group including tenant farmers having owned/ rented/leased sheds are eligible for getting benefits under the scheme. KCC is saving-cum-loan product, where the loan limit is calculated based on Scale of Finance (SoF) as decided by State Level Technical Committee (SLTC). SoF may be fixed per animal/ bird basis for all important activities undertaken in the district after giving due consideration to rearing practices in vogue and all recurring expenses required for sustaining production activities.
(b) During the financial year 2021-22 (as on 10.12.2021) 4593 number of Animal Husbandry & Allied activities farmers has been issued KCC with sanctioned amount of Rs.49 crore in the State of West Bengal.
