Question : COMMITTEE ON DRUG FORMULARY AND VOCABULARY

(a) whether a new committee has been formed for finalizing the Drug Formulary and Vocabulary;

(b) whether the Government have received complaints of malpractices by the existing committee;

(c) if so, the details thereof;

(d) the committees and sub-committees have been formed since the existing list of Drug formulary/Vocabulary has become due to renewal in 1995-96;

(e) whether the Government have any proposal to constitute another sub-committees in near future; and

(f) if so, the details thereof?

(a):Yes, Sir.

(b)&(c): Only some general complaints have been received, which are being examined.

(d): Five committees have been formed since 1995-96. Concrete steps have been taken to finalise a comprehensive formulary/vocabulary which would be notified very shortly.

(e)&(f): There is no such proposal at present.
