Will the Minister of CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Rajasthan Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (RDPL), a Central Pharma Public Sector Undertaking is facing financial crises and if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the Government has any proposal for revival of RDPL in the near future;
(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(d) the details of key proposed changes, funding pattern and plan outlay for RDPL in this regard?

(b) to (d): RDPL Plant has been supported to become WHO-GMP compliant. For this purpose Rs.6.84 crores was released as Grants-in-Aid in 2014-15. Deptt. of Pharmaceuticals is administering PPP (Pharmaceutical Purchase Policy) Policy to accord preference to CPSEs in procurement by Government agencies.
