(a) The target to release 8 crore LPG connections under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) has already been achieved on 7th September, 2019. Details of LPG connections released under PMUY in the State of Goa, Kalahandi in Odisha, Gopalganj in Bihar, Karnataka and Rajasthan are as under :-

(b) The applicable subsidy for PMUY LPG consumers w.e.f. 12.02.2020 in the month of February, 2020 at Delhi is ? 312.48 per 14.2 kg cylinder.
(c) The PDS Kerosene allocation is rationalised taking into consideration factors like electrical connectivity, LPG penetration and lapsed quota by the States/UTs. The Government has allocated 1,56,000 KL and 2,112 KL in the financial year 2018-19 and 84,324 KL and 816 KL in the financial year 2019-20 in the States of Karnataka and Goa respectively.
(d) LPG coverage of the country is about 97.3 % as on 01.02.2020. Release of LPG connections is a continuous process. LPG distributors are under instructions to immediately register any request for new LPG connection and Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) endeavour to release the same within 7 working days. As on 01.02.2020, details of domestic LPG consumers in the States of Goa, Bihar and Rajasthan are as under :-

(e) & (f) OMCs have reported that 85 % of PMUY beneficiaries have come back for refill. As on 31.03.2019, PMUY consumers have consumed 28.90 crore LPG refills across the country and 79.78 lakh refills in the State of Karnataka. The major steps taken by OMCs to improve the refill consumption of the PMUY beneficiaries include:-
? Deferring the recovery of loan from subsidy from the PMUY beneficiaries to encourage refill consumption, for six refills or a period of one year whichever is earlier.
? Offering swap facility to avail small package of 5 kg refill against 14.2 kg refill as per their requirement.
? Conducting Pradhan Mantri LPG Panchayat and Mela, a community based Program to address any issue pertaining to LPG usage.
? Improving last mile connectivity by commissioning 6600 LPG distributorships during the last three years and the current year (April, 2016 to December, 2019).
? Enabling booking facilities through Common Service Centre (CSC) across India.
? Conducting regular review meeting of distributors/ Sales area adopting area specific strategies for improving refill consumption
