Question : HIEMDA Scheme

(a) the salient features of Heavy Industry Export and Market Development Assistance (HIEMDA) Scheme along with the present status thereof;
(b) the details of the funds allocated, sanctioned and utilised under the said scheme during the last three years, State-wise including Gujarat;
(c) the number of persons benefited under the scheme during the said period;
(d) the targets set and achievement under the said scheme so far along with the steps taken to achieve the target, State/ UT-wise; and
(e) whether the Government has received any complaint regarding misuse of the funds, if so, the details thereof and the action taken by the Government in this regard?

(a): Government has unveiled National Capital Goods Policy in 2016 which envisages, inter-alia, Heavy Industry Export and market Development Assistance (HIEMDA) as a long term export promotion initiative for the Capital Goods Sector. However, the Scheme HIEMDA has not been launched by the Government so far.

(b) to (e): Not Applicable in view of the reply to (a) above.
