(I) Aspirational Districts Programme, Gujarat State:

Under the Aspirational Districts Programme, the main strategy is bringing convergence of existing schemes and programs of the Central, State and District Administration, which have their own funding arrangements. Therefore, large infusion of additional funds is not envisaged under this programme. However, to foster a competitive spirit and address critical gaps, a provision of additional allocation has been devised for districts securing good ranks based on their monthly incremental progress. Under this arrangement the 2 Aspirational Districts of Gujarat have been sanctioned the amounts mentioned below. On the basis of a critical need felt by the District Administration, the amount has been sanctioned for projects formulated by the Districts.
