Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS(SHRI SRIPRAKASH JAISWAL)

(a) to (f): No, Sir. However, cases of the involvement of disgruntled local youth influenced and subverted by external elements, in terrorist activities have come to notice, resulting in quite a number of arrests. It has been reported, inter-alia, that local youth were taken to Pakistan and Banladesh for training. Although some disgruntled youth coming under the influence of religious fundamentalists/terrorist organizations have indulged in subversive activities, it would, however not be appropriate to suggest that Nalgonda has become a hub of militant activity. The Government pursues a comprehensive policy to deal with terrorism by way of enhanced intelligence sharing, strengthening of border management, augmenting the capabilities of police and security forces by providing advanced/ sophisticated weapons, communication systems and training. The Government has also established bilateral and multilateral mechanisms to address the external imperatives of terrorism besides undertaking developmental work to bring the misguided youth into the national mainstream.
