(a) & (b): A survey for gauge conversion of Gonda-Bahraich-Mailani-Sitapur-Lucknow (479.90 km)
including Nanpara Nepalganj was completed in 1998-99. On this surveyed route, gauge conversion
of Gonda-Bahraich section (60 km) has been taken up where earthwork, minor bridge work ballasting
etc. are in different stages of progress. An expenditure of Rs 18.24 crore has been incurred upto
March’ 2010.
(c): The time period of completion will depend upon availability of resources.
