Question : Appointment of Chief Election Commissioner

(a) whether Supreme Court intends to frame rules and regulations for appointment of Chief Election Commissioner of India and other Commissioners;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; and
(c) whether the Government plans to reframe rules and regulations for appointment of Chief Election Commissioner of India and if so, the steps taken so far in this regard?

(b) : Question does not arise.
