(a) whether the Government is seriously considering to pay farmers a flat per acre cash subsidy that can be used to purchase any fertilizer, and that the amount could vary, depending upon the number of crops grown and whether the land is irrigated or not; and
(b) if so, the efforts made/to be made by the Government keeping in mind that this will encourage proper application of fertilizers, with the right nutrient (macro and micro) combination based on proper soil testing and crop-specific requirements?
