(a): Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has informed that the total number of flats included in the Housing Scheme, 2019 were 17,922 and the number of applications received for these flats were 45,045. In total 8,438 flats were allotted out of which 6,070 flats have been surrendered till date. In majority of cases, the applicants have not provided any specific reasons for surrender. However, location and size of the allotted flats are reported to be the main reasons for surrender.
(b): DDA has taken following steps to tackle the issue of decline in sale.
(i) Reduced the prices of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category flats.
(ii) Wide publicity through leading newspaper, FM radio and DDA website.
(iii) Scheme of amalgamation of Lower Income Group (LIG) flats at Narela Sector G7/G8.
(c): DDA has launched a new Scheme for allotment of 6,273 EWS category flats at concessional rates with effect from 30.08.2019. This scheme will be open till 30.11.2019.
