(a) whether the Government is implementing any scheme for maintaining tourist spots in different States of the country and if so, the details thereof;
(b) the details of the funds allocated for this purpose during the last three years and current year, year-wise, State-wise and tourist spot-wise; and
(c) the other steps taken/proposed to be taken by the Government to maintain such places?

(a) to (c): Development and maintenance of tourist spots is the responsibility of the respective State Governments/Union Territories. However, Ministry of Tourism, under the schemes viz. Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD) and “Integrated Development of Theme Based Tourist Circuit in the Country Swadesh Darshan (SD)” provides Central Financial Assistance to State Governments/Union Territories for infrastructure development and beautification of tourist places in the country. Details of funds provided to the State Governments/Union Territories under these schemes in last three years and current years is annexed
