(a): Yes, Sir.
(b) and (c): The guidelines for Employees` Stock Option
Programme (ESOP) were issued by the Government on 28th January,
1998. The scheme envisages offer of an allocation of share of
Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to its employees. The PSUs
have been given the flexibility to evolve enterprise specific
schemes and to incorporate changes suiting their own requirements
without altering the basic structure/character/objective of the
scheme. The administrative Ministries are to device suitable
monitoring mechanism to monitor the implementation of the scheme.
There is no centralised monitoring of the total number of
employees who have opted for this scheme.
