(a) whether the Government has prepared any Draft National Policy for small hydro power generations projects;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government has consulted the stakeholders in connection with the formulation of the said policy;
(d) if so, the details thereof and whether all suggestions received therefrom have been incorporated in the draft policy; and
(e) if so, the details thereof?

(a)&(b): No Madam. There is an existing Hydro Power Policy announced in 2008 for the accelerated development of hydro power including small hydro power in the Country. However, a draft National Mission on Small Hydro was placed on 4th February 2015 on the web site of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy for Comments.
(c),(d)&(e): The draft National Mission on Small Hydro is based on stake holders’ consultation. Suggestions received have been suitably incorporated in the draft Mission document.
