(a) whether the Government proposes to set up coastal base maritime tourism circuit along with the seashore of the country;
(b) if so, whether the coastal circuits will be exclusively connected with water transportation and be maintained with same hospitality and facilities therefor;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) if not, the new plan to activate new openings for tourism development in the country?

(a) to (d): The Ministry of Tourism under its scheme of Swadesh Darshan is developing thematic circuits in the country in a planned and prioritized manner. Coastal circuit is one of the fifteen thematic circuits identified for development under this scheme with the objective of developing tourism infrastructure in the coastal areas.
The project under Swadesh Darshan scheme covers both new as well as existing tourism destinations. Under the scheme the Ministry provides financial assistance to the State Governments/ Union Territory Administrations/Central Agencies for development of tourism infrastructure with the objective of providing better experience and facilities to the visitors at these sites and providing employment opportunities to the local community.
