(a) whether the Government proposes to reduce/limit the number of cash
withdrawals through ATMs;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government has received any complaint in this regard; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the action taken by the Government thereon?

(a) & (b) The matter comes under the regulatory purview of Reserve Bank of India (RBI). RBI has regulated cash withdrawals through ATMs vide various circulars, viz., circulars dated 8th November 2016, 16th January 2017 and 30th January 2017. Vide the circular dated 30th January 2017, the limits placed on cash withdrawals from ATMs for withdrawal from current accounts, cash credit accounts and overdraft accounts, have been withdrawn with effect from February 1, 2017.
(c) & (d) Government has not received any specific complaint in this regard.
