Question : Setting up of New Projects

(a) whether it is true that Andhra Pradesh, as per Project Today Report, is the second most favoured destination as far as setting up of new projects are concerned;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) the details of sectors in which investments have been received in Andhra Pradesh;

(d) whether the Government would help Andhra Pradesh in becoming a major destination for investments in the country; and

(e) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (e): The information as sought is not collated by the Department of Heavy Industry. The Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) policy is an enabling policy that is uniformly applicable across the country. The Government reviews this policy from time to time to ensure that India remains an attractive and investor friendly destination.
