Question : Nuclear Power Generating Capacity

(a) whether any proposal of nuclear power generating capacity with Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors and another would be added with Light Water Reactors and if so, the details thereof: and

(b) the target plan of the Government and the extent to which it would help the country to attain self-sufficiency in power sector?

(a) A nuclear power capacity addition programme based on both indigenous technologies and Light Water Reactors with international cooperation is being implemented. The details are as follows:
