(a) the details of steps taken by the Government to increase the production of quality honey;
(b) the details of the technology intervention in honey production and to prevent diseases of bee colonies;
(c) whether the Government has launched mobile honey processing units; and
(d) if so, the details thereof ?

(a): National Bee Board (NBB), Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare is implementing a central sector scheme entitled “National Beekeeping & Honey Mission (NBHM) under Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Announcement for overall promotion and development of scientific beekeeping & to achieve the goal of “Sweet Revolution”.
Main objective of NBHM is promoting scientific beekeeping for holistic growth of beekeeping industry for income & employment generation, providing livelihood support to farm and non-farm households, to enhance agriculture/ horticulture production, developing infrastructural facilities & promoting latest technologies in beekeeping.
(b): Promotion of new global technology for promotion and development of scientific beekeeping and establishment of Honeybee Disease Diagnostic labs are supported under NBHM for technology intervention in honey production and to prevent diseases of bee colonies.
For technology intervention in increasing the Honey Production, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Honey Bees and Pollinators has developed package of practices for seasonal management of honeybees. Further, for management of bee pests and diseases, IACR is also working for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) measures in honeybees.
(c) & (d): Government is giving assistance for Honey Processing Lab/Unit under NBHM for quality Honey. The detail of assistance given for establishment of Honey Processing Unit is given as under:
