(a) whether the requisite information has been collected;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) if not, the reasons therefor; and
(d) the time by which the said information is likely to be
collected?

(a) to (d) : The requisite information has to be collected
from all the State Governments. The material has been received
from the following States/UTs:
Madhya Pradesh, NCT of Delhi, Gujarat, Punjab,
Maharashtra, Haryana, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tamil Nadu,
Andhra Pradesh, Manipur, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Goa, Pondichery,
Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadeep, Mizoram and Chandigarh.
The material from the remaining States/UTs is yet to be
received.
Extension of time upto 2.2.2001 has been sought from the
Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs to fulfil the assurance given
in reply to Unstarred Question No.1531 dated 2.8.2000.
