Question : EXTENSION AND MODERNISATION OF CENTRAL HOSPITAL IN BHULE OF BCCL



(a) the extent to which the scheme formulated in th9 beginning for the extension and Modernisation of CentraL Hospital located in Bhule of the Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) has been implemented;

(b) the expenditure incurred on the construction of new building for that hospital in compliance with this scheme;

(c) whether the building was used for the purpose with which it was constructed:

(d) if not,the reasons therefor;

(e) whether any proposal of handing over this newly construction building for some private hospital is under consideration; and

(I) if so, the details thereof?

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF COAL (SHRI PRAHLAD SINGH PATEL) :

(a) and (b) As reported by Coal India Limited, initially, a scheme was approved for construction of 200 bedded hospital at Bhuli. However, a 50 bedded hospital has been constructed with a total expenditure of Rs. 191 lakhs.

(c) Yes, Sir.

(d) Question does not arise.

(e) and (f) A proposal from the Prof. Rita Verma, M.P. with the request that the aforesaid building be given on lease to Randhii Verrna Memorial Society for opening an eye hospital. Since the building is under use, the request of the Hon`ble M.P. has not been accepted.
