(a) whether Government have decided to set-up `National Population Stabilisation Fund` and High Powered Working Group`;
(b) if so, the composition thereof alongwith the time by which these are likely to be set-up; and
(c) the response of various States in this regard?

(a) Yes, Sir. Government has decided to set up a National Population Stabilisation Fund and Working Groups.
(b)&(c)The composition of the above are being worked out and are likely to be finalised shortly. During the first meeting of the National Commission on Population held on 22nd July, 2000, most State Governments responded favourably to the setting up of the National Population Stabilisation Fund.
