Question : Growth of International Passenger and Cargo Traffic

(a) the details of inbound and outbound international passengers during each of the last five years from metros and tier-two cities, airport-wise;

(b) whether there is any increase in international passenger traffic in tier-two cities and if so, the details thereof along with the manner in which this increase can be compared with airports in metro cities;

(c) the details of bilateral seat sharing agreements entered into with different countries and the dates on which these agreements were revised last;

(d) whether there is any increase in the allocation of seats to metro and tier two cities and if so, the details thereof; and

(e) the percentage of increase in cargo transportation, particularly perishable items from tier-two cities and metros and the manner in which transportation of cargo from tier-two cities can be compared with that of metros in the last five years, airport and year-wise?

(a) & (b) The details of inbound and outbound international passenger during each of the last five years from metros and tier-two cities, airport-wise alongwith the percentage increase in international passenger traffic from both categories of cities is attached as Annexure-I.;;

(c) & (d) The details of bilateral seat sharing memoranda of understanding entered into with different countries alongwith increase in allocation of seats in the last five years is attached as Annexure-II.;;

(e) The percentage of increase in cargo transportation from metros & tier-two cities airport-wise and year-wise is attached as Annexure-III.
