(a) whether the Union Government have received project proposals from various State governments to establish Educational Grid across the institutions in their States as a part of the Vidya Vahini and Gyan Vahini Networks;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the action by the Government thereon?

(a),(b) and (c): There is no proposal for Establishment of Educational Grid under `Vidya Vahini` or `Gyan Vahini` Networks. Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Kerala are planning an educational grid network in Kerala funded by the State Government. They have requested Department of Information Technology to associate Education and Research Networking (ERNET) with the Education Grid Project of Kerala and ERNET is associated with the Project.
