(a)to(c): Primary Health Centres are established by
respective State Governments, as per their requirement, out
of the over all funds provided to them and physical targets
set by the Planning Commission under the State Sector Health
Outlay. Thus, no separate funds are allocated by the
Government of India for establishing Primary Health Centres.
A statement indicating the number of Primary Health Centres
opened in each State during last three years is given at
Annexure.
