Question : AYUSH Universities

Will the Minister of AYURVEDA, YOGA AND NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (AYUSH) be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government proposes to set up new AYUSH Universities in the country, if so, the details thereof, State/UT-wise and stream-wise, including Ayurveda and Yoga Universities in Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh;

(b) the time by which these AYUSH Universities are likely to be set up in the country, State/UT-wise, schemewise and stream-wise; and

(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): No, at present there is no such proposal under consideration of the Central Government.

(b) & (c): Central Universities are established by the Act of Parliament and State Universities and State Private Universities are established by Act of the Concerned State Legislature.
