(a) whether any proposals for the development of mega handloom clusters in Kerala under the Comprehensive Handloom Cluster Development Scheme are pending approval, particularly in Waynad region;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the details of the existing Handloom Clusters in Kerala and the financial assistance provided to the respective implementing agencies?

(a) & (b): The Comprehensive Handloom Cluster Development Scheme (CHCDS) is targeted at development of Mega Handloom Clusters in geographical locations covering atleast 15000 handlooms with the Government of India contribution upto Rs.40 crore per cluster over a period of 5 years. There is no proposal pending for approval relating to development of any mega handloom cluster in the state of Kerala.
(c): Based on the viable proposals received from the Government of Kerala, 06 Block Level Clusters (BLCs) have been sanctioned under National Handloom Development Programme (NHDP). The implementing agency-wise details of funds sanctioned and released for development of BLCs in the State of Kerala are as follows:
