(a): The names of the States which have cut down their Annual Plan during the last three
years i.e., 2001-02, 2002-03 and 2003-04, including the size of the cut, original and
Revised outlays are given in the Statement attached as ANNEXURE- A to C.
(b): The main reason for reduction in the size of the Plan is the inability of the States to
mobilise resources as anticipated.
(c): The size of the Annual Plan of the State Government of Gujarat had been reduced from
the originally approved outlays at the revision stage in the year 2001-02 and 2003-04.
Central Plan funds are utilized for implementation of the Central Government Plan, and
not for implementation of the Annual Plans of States.
(d): Does not arise.
(e): Does not arise.
