(a) whether India recently flight-tested a supersonic Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) jointly developed by the Israeli-Indian defence experts;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether DRDO proposes to further expand cooperation in the development and manufacturing activities with experts from Israel; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has recently flight tested 3 Medium Range-Surface to Air Missile (MR-SAM) systems successfully at Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur during 30th June – 1st July 2016. MR-SAM can detect incoming enemy aircraft at 100 km distance and destroy them at ranges up to 70 km.
(c) & (d): Cooperation with foreign countries for development and manufacturing activities is an ongoing process based on the needs of the Services and Nation.
