(a) whether the Government is considering to set up a Regulatory and Monitoring Authority for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities by different Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)/Companies; and
(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) and (b): No, Madam. There is no proposal to set up a Regulatory and Monitoring Authority for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Monitoring of CSR is the responsibility of Board of Directors of a company under the provisions of section 135 of the Act.
