(a) whether the Government plan to acquire a specialised Submarine Rescue Vessel as only 4 out of 18 Indian Submarines have rescue sphere in their hull;
(b) if so, the time by which the Submarine Rescue Vessel is likely to be made available to Navy; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c): All Indian Navy submarines have the capability to allow escape of crew from about a depth of 120 metres, using escape suits. Induction of Deep Submergence Rescue Vessels (DSRVs) together with associated infrastructure is being progressed.
