(a) the details of schemes/programmes being implemented by the Government to provide assistance to State Governments for development of tourism in the country;
(b) whether several tourist places in the country are being developed with foreign financial assistance; and
(c) if so, the details of the financial assistance received and utilized during each of the last three years and the current year, project and State/UT-wise?

(a) to (c): Ministry of Tourism provides financial assistance to State Governments/Union Territory Administrations under the Schemes of “Swadesh Darshan” and “National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD)” for the development of tourism related infrastructure in the country.
Details of projects sanctioned under the Swadesh Darshan and PRASHAD Schemes to different States/UTs during the last three years and the current year is given at Annexure-I.
The details regarding foreign financial assistance for tourism sector received from Department of Economic Affairs are at Annexure-II & Annexure-III.
