Question : POST OFFICES IN JHARKHAND

(a) the number of post offices functioning in the villages of Chatra region in Jharkhand State;

(b) the details of villages where the Government propose to open post offices in the region during the year 2000-2001 and 2001-2002; and

(c) the steps taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) 82 Post offices are functioning in villages of Chatra district of Jharkhand State.

(b) & (c): No targets are fixed for Chatra District in 2000-2001. The targets for 2001-2002 will be finalized in the next year.
